Linen is one of the oldest types of textiles in the world and is made from fibers of the flax plant. 5000 BC Egyptians already wore linen clothes. Flax is an annual and perennial herb and a subshrub; the stem is straight and grows up to 150 cm. Linen textile is stronger and sleeker than cotton, possesses anti-allergic properties and absorbs water. The textile is also air-permeable and cooling. It can be dyed in various colors.
